INDIA- Giant Indian automaker Tata Motors (TM) recently convince to declare a global player in the international automotive market. To support that spirit, TM announced yesterday (8 / 4) formed a new division of Tata's Tecnologied Vehicle Programs & Development (VPD) Group.
VPD headed by Kevin Fisher, a brilliant senior who has 30 years of automotive industry wrestle. He led 200 engineers of Tata Engineering from four centers, each in Detroit, Conventry, Pune and Stuttgart.
Main task of VPD is to develop vehicle and technology future and for third party. For example, cooperation with Genovation in creating electric cars G2. Although not mentioning the name of other partners, Tata stated it would cooperate with the premium car manufacturer in Europe, North America, and more.
As the first product of the VDP is G2 which will be exhibited at the SEA World Congress on 12 April. In place of that, the VPD will reveal urban concept car created by Tata Technologies' North American Styling Studio.
